Citrus

This picture wasn't taken by me..

But seeing this picture made me wanna eat oranges and grapefruits.

A good picture in my opinion..
Good enough to inspire thirst.

Maid with Kids at Toa Payoh Playground

It was late afternoon and was set out with expired cashew nuts wanting to attract birds but in the end, the kids had a fun time at the playground instead.

I think the insects came for the scattered "bird food" much later at night.

No birds.. Only some candid portraits.

These 2 boys were desperate for screen time the moment they saw me take out my camera and pointing in their direction.

They must have hung for a couple of minutes before I decided to snap a few shots of them

Mount Faber is boring, some photos taken nonetheless

Late at night, Alex drove us to Mount Faber on my suggestion, thinking we will have some nice night scenery to shoot.

Other than it being dark and a good place for couples to cuppa feel of each other without having to get a room, I think Faber sucks.

Here's some photos of the raba raba place.

Last but not least, unless you seriously don't have the money to get a room, please do not bring your girlfriend there at night.

Late Night Kaki Photography @ Fullerton

It was a late thursday night, I called Alex, we packed our gears, kissed our kids and wives goodnight and went to town to try paint it red.

I had just bought a tripod (Weifeng/Fancier Model 531) and wanted to use it for some night stills of the Singapore night skyline. We parked at Connaught Drive and walked around the area looking for a good spot to take some photos.

After 2.5 hours, there were only a handful of nice shots out of the lot that I had taken. Shown here are the selected few that I feel is good enough for public domain.

Sunny 16 aperture, shutter, ISO guide

Good guide to sunny day aperture settings from Wikipedia.

The basic guide to photography exposure is very simple. If you have a bright, sunny day, then use f-stop 16 for your camera lens aperture. The shutter speed should then be set to the equivalent of your ISO film speed – or the next number over. For example, if you are using an ISO film speed of 100, your shutter speed should be set to 1/125. More than often, your shutter speed number will be higher than the ISO film speed, but it is much easier to remember that film speed equals shutter speed.
