Padang Night Shoot with Alex 31 Jan 2015

It's been a while since Alex and me went for a shoot together.

Alex also helped me tested my Nissin flash against his Canon 580EX II flash.

It turned out that my Nissin DI866 MKII needed a flash power reduction on the Flash Compensation function on my Canon 6D body

Leicester House Party Feb 2000

In the year of 2000 at Leicester, a bunch of cool kids thought we were cool too and they invited us to their home for dinner and more coolness ensued.

Back to the day when we had more hair and less troubles..

Some of the pictures below were selfies even before selfie was popular.

Pics were taken with an old JVC DV digicam that ran old MiniDV tapes back then.
Doesn't even has a SD card slot.

Mating Couples at Venus Drive 6th March 2012

Venus Drive on a hot afternoon has nothing much except some medium sized spiders and the mating fly species shown on the first picture. ( Identified from Frederick Ho's blog as the Micropezid Fly aka Mimegralla Albimana )

It must be mating season for this species as many mating couples was seen on the leaves, doing it in the open in clear view of predators.

I guess when it's mating season, the urge to mate supersedes the need to survive...
Or perhaps the importance of survival as a species supersedes the importance of survival as an individual.

AMK Park Macro 18 June 2011

Headed out with Alex and Qingkai to AMK Park at midnight.

Me and Alex wore full length jeans with army boots, Qing Kai met us at the park with bermudas and sandals... The ants gave him a lesson to remember that night.

Kallang Overhead Bridge 27 Sept 2010

Late night shooting with Alex, whom suggested to go to an extremely long overhead bridge at Kallang along the PIE, wanting to take long shutter vehicle lights.

All cars slowed down when they noticed 2 jokers with cameras and tripods on the overhead bridge. [ala COP ON TOP with speed cameras ]

This was where we were.

Here are some selected pictures..

Tekka City View and Boat Quay 10th Sept 2010

Alex said the view at Tekka was nice from the top floor of the HDB block, so we went there with our gears. After that, we went to Boat Quay along Singapore River

Late Night Kaki Photography @ Fullerton

It was a late thursday night, I called Alex, we packed our gears, kissed our kids and wives goodnight and went to town to try paint it red.

I had just bought a tripod (Weifeng/Fancier Model 531) and wanted to use it for some night stills of the Singapore night skyline. We parked at Connaught Drive and walked around the area looking for a good spot to take some photos.

After 2.5 hours, there were only a handful of nice shots out of the lot that I had taken. Shown here are the selected few that I feel is good enough for public domain.
