Macro shoot at Lower Peirce Trail 17 Nov 2015

Testing new simple lighting setup on the MT-24EX.

Alone at 12 midnight in the Lower Peirce Trail sure reminds me of the good ol' army days.

Somehow, there was no fear, despite all the weird noises the secondary jungle was making.

The only fear was of the weather.
Because rain will definitely put a stop to my late night outing with the critters.

Padang Night Shoot with Alex 31 Jan 2015

It's been a while since Alex and me went for a shoot together.

Alex also helped me tested my Nissin flash against his Canon 580EX II flash.

It turned out that my Nissin DI866 MKII needed a flash power reduction on the Flash Compensation function on my Canon 6D body

Paris London Trip 20 Dec 2014 to 30 Dec 2014 Arrival and Eiffel Tower Night

Once we reached Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport, we tried using the public train service to reach our accommodation for the first 4 days which was booked via AirBnB. I must say that I was quite impressed with the accommodation and will refer this place to all my friends visiting Paris.

The Metro Station was Place D'Italie and our residence was on top of a shopping mall that has its own supermarket (Carrefour) inside the mall.

This was day 1 of our free and easy trip

Eiffel Tower View from Place D'Italie Residence Balcony 22 Dec 2014

This is my 2nd time in Paris since more than 14 years ago.

Armed with a DSLR and tripod, I wasn't just gonna take shoddy pictures of the famous Eiffel Tower and blame the poor lighting conditions and bite myself not coming back with sharp pictures of the Tour de Eiffel.

Each time I see these pictures I took, it makes me miss the place,
but strangely at the same time,
I am also glad I came back with these photos.

Bangkok Trip with Kids and Aunts 19-24th June 2013

It was a long awaited holiday for the Neo family.
Though it was largely a shopping trip, we made time for some sightseeing for the kids.

Here are some of the places we were at during our stay in Bangkok.

Traffic jams meant we walked most of the time

More Lower Peirce Reservoir Night Macro Expedition 29 Sept 2012

I ventured deeper into the reservoir park at Lower Peirce.

The sound of the jungle at night was creepy and there was a risk of meeting wild boars as there were some spotted there in recent years.

The air was thick and so was the undergrowth but the man-made track was wide enough for me and my gear without having to brush and disturb the insects as I walked along the track.

It was a nightful of spiders yet again.

Blue Dragonfly @ Bedok Reservoir Canal 23 June 2012

Found this blue dragonfly perching on a cool weekend night at 2am around the Bedok Reservoir Canal area..

Took a snap but I moved too close on my second attempt and the dragonfly actually CHARGED at me... knocking into my exposed forehead before taking off and abandoning the perching branch.

Raffles Hotel and Raffles City and Marina 23 Jan 2011

Late saturday night/early sunday morning at 2am.
It was breezy along Beach Road in the wee hours of 23 Jan 2011.

Took photos of the Raffles Hotel and its taller cousin "Westin Stamford".
Most of the shots were taken using my wide angle lens Canon EF-S 10-22mm.

Maxwell Red Dot Museum 16 Oct 2010

It was the Friday night and my weekend begins after midnight...
Years ago, I'd be with friends partying all night, drowning myself in alcohol.

Now I appreciate the time I have to pursue my hobby.

The place : Maxwell Road
The subject : Red Dot Museum
The time : Wee hours

Helix Bridge and MBS 10 Oct 2010

This could probably be the closest I could ever get to the casino without actually entering it.
And thus, saving the entire family fortune from being donated to the evil arms of gambling.

The pictures I took serves a reminder to myself that everything outside the casino is beautiful.
From the faces of those gamblers I saw leaving the casino, I doubt they can appreciate the beauty anymore....

ECP Rochor Exit 06 Oct 2010

It was not easy to reach the Benjamin Sheares Bridge on ECP by foot.

I had to climb 10 flight of stairs , or probably more, because at the 10th flight, I was almost disorientated due to lack of breath..

I used my Canon 10-22mm wide angle and Tamron 17-50mm and my favourite zoom lens Sigma 70-300mm APO.

The following pictures are my perspective view from ECP Rochor exit.

Being at the top of the Benjamin Sheares Bridge along ECP is quite exciting...

Every time a heavy vehicle goes by, the tremors it caused makes me feels like the bridge is fall apart! If you need a cheap thrill, do not head towards Sentosa's Universal Studios. Just have a walk along Benjamin Sheares Bridge.
